MapCheckup (mapcheckup.com) checks how a local business appears on Google Maps and Google Search, and gives the owner a report with ready-to-use fixes. This page explains what information we use, why, and what choices you have.
When you check a business, we look up public information about it from Google Maps: its name, address, category, hours, phone, website, photos, rating and public reviews. We also look at nearby businesses that show up in the same searches, so we can compare. This is information anyone can see on Google Maps.
We save each report on our server so you can open it again from its link, compare it with a later re-check, and use the free one-page business website we make from it. Anyone with a report link can open that report.
To see how AI assistants describe the business, and to write the profile description, posts and review replies in your fix kit, we send the public business information above to AI services (Anthropic, OpenAI and Google Gemini). We do not send them your payment details or anything from your connected Google account.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. You enter your UPI, card or bank details on Razorpay's checkout, not on our site, and we never see or store them. From Razorpay we keep the order ID, payment ID, the business it was for and the time, so we can unlock your report and your free 30-day re-check. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to the payment.
If you choose "Connect Google", Google asks you to let MapCheckup manage your business listings (the business.manage permission). We use this access only to:
We never change anything you have not approved on the screen. We do not read or change your personal Google data such as email, contacts or files.
The sign-in token Google gives us is kept only in our server's memory for your session (at most one day) and is not written to disk. Information we read from your Google account is shown back to you and is not saved, sold, shared, used for advertising, or sent to AI services.
MapCheckup's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can remove MapCheckup's access at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We set one cookie when you connect Google, to keep you signed in for that session. It expires after one day. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Only the services that make MapCheckup work: Google (Maps data and your Business Profile), Razorpay (payments), and the AI services named above. We do not sell information to anyone.
Email us and we will delete the reports and payment records for your business, except what we must keep by law (such as payment records for tax).
MapCheckup is for business owners and is not meant for anyone under 18.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
